Every person has apprehensions for getting operated. I too had the same. I sustained a sports injury leading to a labral tear in 2015. Consulted many specialists at that time. Recurrent Shoulder Dislocation - Latarjet Procedure - Andheri/Juhu, Mumbai

I had a partial shoulder dislocation problem for some time, wherein the ball joint of my shoulder would pop out of the socket joint due to any awkward movement, sometimes even without it. A close family friend directed me to Dr Tawari, I had seen multiple specialists before I agreed to go in for the surgery. Often with this problem we assume that a surgery isn’t essential, so we avoid but I would request all to get this surgery done at the first instance.

Dr Tawari understood my issue perfectly and it was a seamless transition from my first visit to him to being discharged post surgery from Nanavati. Post surgery I required physiotherapy, the same was prescribed by dr. Tawari. Physiotherapy did not only help with my movement but also my confidence that my shoulder will not pop out.

I fell down in high school, after a week my wrist started paining suddenly . I wasn't able to do anything because my hand got swelled a bit and when i started taking treatment the condition of my wrist became so bad even I wasn't able to write , taking bundles of books and bag or taking something which is heavy. After a month of my 1st surgery, my hand started paining again a lot and the pain was much more that before surgery and i wasnt able to move my little finger and was not able to sense the touch near my little finger. Suffered like this for almost 2 years, like going to other orthopedic surgeon or a hand surgeon, taking their treatement made my hand more than worst .

In 2020 september, I was searching names of hand surgeons and in than I got Dr.tawari's contact(last year, month October). After going to the hospital, they asked questions in very deep ,Explained them each and everything in detail. They told us that we will perform another surgery, and after that I got operated for 2nd time . The treatement after surgery was so good and followed their instructions. After 2 months i mean now, the changes which I am experiencing now is unbelievable. My little finger started to move and was able to sense it. I am able to write. The pain is relived almost going and also now visiting them for weekly or monthly checkups they inform us the condition of my wrist. I am very much thankful for Dr. Tawari. Wrist Surgery, Complex Wrist Fracture / Trauma Fixation - Navi Mumbai

I would highly recommend Dr.Tawari. I had an accident which broke my wrist needing a Surgery and an implant to be fitted for it to remain in place.

Was initially admitted to Dr.DY Patil Hospital, who suggested 3 surgeries stretched over a period of a year and also hospitalization for 3 weeks post the first Surgery. They could only guarantee 30% restoration of my wrist movement and a maximum of 50-60%.

I consulted Dr.Tawari through my sister. After seeing the X-ray reports he was confident he can complete the surgery in a few hours and the whole inpatient process lasted for a day and a half. Post which I was home and at my Business place the next day.

Dr.Tawari seems thorough, knowledgeable and confident and definitely a life saver.

I am actively into Callisthenics and Weight Training and though it's been about 8 months since the surgery, I feel confident and have recovered by 80% at least. I am yet to hit the gym to see if I can get back to heavy weights, but Doc seems confident. Which is assuring.

Dr. Gautam Tawari, this name & the person himself r like God to us. He has treated our 2 very near & dear family members - My 9 years old niece & my mother in law.

Knee Arthroscopy – Knee Meniscal Repair (Chembur, Mumbai)

After injuring my left knee playing football I was in complete distress and visited serveral orthopedics in Mumbai. All of them told me that It needed an operation where my meniscus will be permanently removed except Dr Gautam Tawari who suggested to do the operation in a way where only the damaged part of the meniscus will be removed. To highlight the importance of not removing the entire meniscus is extremely important here. If I had gone with a complete removal of meniscus I would be more likely to face Artrithis in future. It is proven that patients who undergo complete removal of meniscus are more likely to get arthritis compared to the ones who remove only the damaged portion. This practice of removing of only damaged part is followed all across Europe and is preferred option for sports professional across globe. This made by decision easy to choose Dr Gautam Tawari to operate. My surgery went extremely well and post operation care was great too. I was guided about the exercise routine which I need to follow for next 6 months post the surgery. I after 3-4 months of surgery was able to do day to day activities normally and was able ride and drive.
